Wanasah provides free counselling and case management services to Black youth and their families experiencing mental health and problematic substance concerns. We serve the Regent Park community and neighbouring areas.

We provide help to Black youth aged 12-25:

  • Experiencing mental health and/or problematic substance use concerns.
  • Living in/around Regent Park area, including Moss Park, Rivertown, St. Jamestown, and Esplanade.

Youth can refer themselves, or a friend or family member can make the connection for them. We can be contacted by phone, text or email or by dropping into our office. Health care providers and youth workers can also make referrals through filling out the form below.

Referral

Wanasah was created to provide free mental health and problematic substance use supports to Black Youth and families living in Regent Park and neighbouring areas. Our counsellors, case managers, spiritual care facilitator, and community support workers are available to provide mental health services to youth who meet our referral criteria. Our model also provides support to family members and caregivers.

We aim to respond to new referrals within two weeks. If you would like to discuss a referral to determine suitability, please email, or call and ask to speak with the intake worker.
