Wanasah is currently operating in Regent Park and provides a series of services to Black youth ages 12-25 and their families, who are experiencing mental health and/or addictions concerns. Through partnerships with community partners and youth ambassadors we provide Black-centric mental health and addictions service.
Currently, our programs and services are available for Black Youth and their Families in Regent Park and surrounding areas. All our programs are developed through a trauma- informed, Black-centric, identity and ethnic-specific lens.
We provide translations in the following languages: Arabic and Somali
For Youth
At Wanasah, we offer free, individual counselling to Black youth and their families who live in Regent Park.
For Families
Wanasah offers mental health service navigation, education and referral for families or “chosen families”.
For Service Providers
Wanasah offers information sessions and workshops for organizations that serve Black youth and/or their families in Regent Park and neighbouring areas.
