Caregiver Crisis Support and Short Term Case Management
We offer short term culturally safe crisis support and short-term case management from our staff that caters to the need of the caregiver.
In order for Black youth to receive holistic care, it is important that their caregivers and support system understand the best ways to support them. Additionally, we understand that a parent/caregiver who is experiencing mental health crisis cannot optimally support their youth or family until they access help. At Wanasah, we offer short term culturally safe crisis support and short-term case management that caters to the need of the caregiver.

Caregiver Mental Health Navigation
Our team understands that there are different levels and types of supports needed by family of youth at different stages.
Our team at Wanasah understands that there are different levels and types of supports needed by family/chosen family of youth at different stages. Therefore, Wanasah offers mental health service navigation, education and referral. Navigating services is not always an easy task for many of our community members and therefore we advocate on their behalf and try to minimize barriers when trying to access external supports. Our staff at Wanasah support clients in the community by directing them to appropriate services and resources.
We understand the importance of educating individuals and the community at large when it comes to mental health. Wanasah staff ensure that our youth and their families have the knowledge to support their loved ones in their time of need. Our team uses a compassionate and strength-based approach to educating and spreading awareness to the community while also dismantling the stigma surrounding mental health.
